Legal Structure

This week in MKT250, we learned all about legal structure and business licenses!  I am currently living in the state of Utah, and upon doing my research, I have concluded that starting my business as a sole proprietorship would be the best option.  I will only be doing a simple blog, which needs no employees, and has minimal expenses.  The process to register my business as a sole proprietorship is very simple and fast, and has minimal cost as well.  To do so, I simply must complete a document found online at Utah.gov!  It is very simple and straightforward, from what I can tell.  We also talked about legal things, like taxes!  For a while I was planning on starting a small candle business for this class, so I had learned all about the legal side of things for that!  But, last minute, I changed my mind and decided to do a blog business.  So, that completely changes things because I had no idea what the legal side of things is for this blog!  After a little bit of research, I feel a little better, but still have a lot to learn if I am going to keep this thing going in the long run!
