Site Builder and Hosting

This week in class we learned all about the different options for site builders and hosting.  Some examples of site builders include SquareSpace, Weebly, Wix, WordPress, and Shopify.  Some examples of hosting options include BlueHost, HostGator, and Inmotion Hosting.  Additionally, it is important to recognize that some site builders include hosting as part of their package so that you do not need to purchase that separately.  Such companies include Weebly, Wix and SquareSpace.  WordPress is one of the number one site builders used for thousands of companies, however, it does not include its own hosting.  I am currently leaning most towards using SquareSpace, or the combination of WordPress and BlueHost.  When comparing WordPress to other options, you have thousands more options when it comes to design sets, payment options, calculators, and widgets in your business.  BlueHost is also a great option because of the price, and the fact that you can use it for unlimited website hosting when using “Step Up” plan.  This would be very helpful in my situation, since my husband has an old online business he wants to get started up again.  My second choice would be Squarespace, because I simply really love all of the options it has, the look, and the simplicity.
